About the Service

We're a pickup and delivery laundry service based in Louisville, KY. We come to you, pick up your laundry, wash, dry, and fold everything with care, then return it — clean, neat, and ready to go. No trips to the laundromat, no sorting, no stress.

No — we are a pickup and delivery service only. All the work happens off-site so you never have to leave your home.

We offer nanny and childcare support and household management services. House cleaning is available exclusively as an add-on for existing laundry or nanny service partners — it is not offered as a standalone service at this time.

This policy is intentional. The safety and wellbeing of our team members is a priority, and limiting house cleaning to established client relationships is one of the ways we protect them. We appreciate your understanding.

Pricing & Scheduling

We price by the pound — delivery is included in the rate. Our tiers are:

  • Standard — $2.75/lb
  • Express — $3.50/lb
  • Same-Day — $4.25/lb (10 lb minimum, book before noon, returned by 6pm)

For Standard and Express service there is no minimum. Same-Day service requires a 10 lb minimum. Recurring subscription plans require a 20 lb minimum.

The Process

We use clean, eco-conscious, skin-safe products — free-and-clear detergents, fragrance-free softeners, and enzyme-based stain treatments. Nothing harsh, nothing synthetic. Safe for sensitive skin, children, and pets. If you have specific product preferences, just let us know.

We always check care labels. If an item is labeled dry clean only, we will set it aside and notify you — we will not wash it. When in doubt, we err on the side of caution and use cold water with a gentle cycle.

Your laundry is returned folded to a hotel-quality standard — neat, uniform, and organized. Items that should be hung will be handled appropriately. Everything is bagged clean and ready for your drawer or closet.

Our Damage & Loss Policy: We treat every garment with genuine care. In the rare event that an item is damaged or lost while in our care, here is how we handle it:

  • Report within 48 hours. Any damage or loss claim must be reported within 48 hours of delivery to info@pressedunstressed.com. Claims submitted after this window cannot be honored.
  • Pre-existing conditions. P&UL is not liable for damage to items that arrived with pre-existing wear, tears, fading, weak seams, or other vulnerabilities. We always recommend inspecting your items before drop-off.
  • Care label compliance. We follow garment care labels. Items damaged due to manufacturer-specified care instructions that we followed are not eligible for claims.
  • Delicate & high-value items. We strongly advise against submitting irreplaceable, heirloom, or high-value items. P&UL's maximum liability for any single item is limited to 10x the per-pound service cost paid for that load.
  • We will work with you. We know that accidents are stressful, and we don't take them lightly. If P&UL is at fault, we will work with you in good faith to find a fair resolution — whether that's a service credit, reimbursement, or another solution that works for both parties.

Christie Welch, a Louisville-based social entrepreneur with a Master's degree in NGO Management from Johns Hopkins University. She founded P&UL after navigating personal hardship during the pandemic, turning that experience into a mission-driven business that creates pathways for women to achieve financial independence and stability.
