From Struggle to Strength: The Story Behind Pressed & Unstressed
In the midst of the pandemic in 2020, Christie found herself confronting not only the isolation of the world but also the stark reality of domestic violence. Determined to rise above, she turned her pain into purpose, creating a beacon of hope for Black women and other women of color in Kentucky.
Pressed & Unstressed is more than a refuge—it’s a movement. We empower women to leave abusive situations by providing them with a loving, supportive community and pathways to financial independence. Whether it’s through skill-building, creating opportunities to earn, or simply being a source of encouragement, Pressed & Unstressed is here to help women reclaim their power, one step at a time.
